Sas Design Sieraden is een merk bedacht en uitgewerkt door ontwerpster Saskia Schellen. Saskia was als kind al gefascineerd door andere culturen, ze studeerde antropologie en ging verre reizen maken.

Sas laat zich inspireren door de levendige romantiek en enorme luxe van de 17e eeuw uit ‘Amsterdam’ en invloeden vanuit het oosten. Indiase, Etruskische en hedendaagse stijlen worden gecombineerd met de schilderijen van Rembrandt en meer uit de collectie van het Rijksmuseum.

Sterling zilver (925/1000) en 18k goud verguld sterling zilver met een mix van half edelstenen vormen de basis voor deze sieraden collecties. Elk bestandsdeel van de sieraden is ethisch verantwoord en traceerbaar geproduceerd.

Sas Design Sieraden onderneemt op een verantwoorde manier, alle sieraden zijn handgemaakt in ons atelier in Jaipur Rajasthan India door een team van toegewijde edelsmeden uit de Thar woestijn. Jaipur is een Indiase stad die bekend staat om zijn lange geschiedenis van bekwaam vakmanschap en sieraden ontwerp. Dit stelt ons ook in staat om eerlijke prijzen te bieden samen met ethische inkoop en duurzame productie, dit is belangrijk voor ons.

De stijl is veelzijdig en wordt door Saskia omschreven als: ‘antique chic sustainable vintage look’.

Informatie over de gebruikte materialen:

– Alle sieraden zijn handgemaakt.
– Elk bestandsdeel van de sieraden is ethisch verantwoord en traceerbaar.
– Het gebruikte metaal is: sterling zilver en 18k goud verguld sterling zilver.
– In de ringen wordt gebruik gemaakt van 18k verguld messing. De zetting is hierdoor stevig en blijft goudkleurig.
– De gebruikte parels zijn ‘Natural/Fresh ofwel Zoetwater’, deze parels zijn heel sterk.

De sieraden worden met de hand gemaakt, door een klein team van Indiase edelsmeden uit de Thar woestijn, dus elk sieraad heeft een eigen karakter.

Sas Design Jewellery is a brand conceived and developed by designer Saskia Schellen. As a child, Saskia was already fascinated by other cultures, she studied anthropology and went travelling.

Saskia is inspired by the lively romance and enormous luxury of the 17th century from ‘Amsterdam’ and influences from the east. Indian, Etruscan and contemporary styles are combined with the paintings of Rembrandt and more from the Rijksmuseum collection.

Sterling silver (925/1000) and 18k gold plated sterling silver with a mix of semi-precious stones form the basis for these jewelry collections. Every component of the jewelry is produced in an ethically responsible and traceable manner.

Sas Design Jewelry undertakes in a responsible manner, all jewelry is handmade in our workshop in Jaipur Rajasthan India by a team of dedicated goldsmiths from the Thar desert. Jaipur is an Indian city known for its long history of skilled craftsmanship and jewelry design. This also enables us to offer fair prices together with ethical purchasing and sustainable production, which is important to us.

– The pearls used are “Natural / Fresh or Freshwater”, these pearls are very strong.

The jewellery is made by hand by a small team of Indian goldsmiths from the Thar desert, so each piece of jewellery has its own character.
